We are a not for profit, community owned, non government organisation which provides high quality care and education for children, national and state wide inclusion services as part of a National Consortia and operate many community based services to children and families. These include post natal depression groups, transition to school and supported playgroups.

What you’ll do

The aim of the Inclusion Professional is to support educators in federally funded education and care services to increase their capacity and capability to embed inclusive practices within their service. You will identify strengths, capacity and capability of educators to ensure that support provided is tailored to educators and eligible services.

You will work to promote a clear understanding of inclusion, which focuses on all children being seen as capable and contributing in their environment. The position involves working closely with other Inclusion Agency team members to deliver inclusion support, which is flexible and responsive to the needs of eligible services within the jurisdiction and in accordance with the Inclusion Support Programme Guidelines.

What you’ll need:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and to be able to deliver high levels of professional service in a fast paced environment
  • Degree in Early Childhood or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care
  • Extensive knowledge and passion for inclusive practice
  • Proven experience in Early Childhood Education
  • Maintain an ACT Working With Vulnerable People Check and if successful obtain a valid paid NSW Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children’s Guardian
  • Understanding of the Inclusion Support Programme guiding principles
  • Have commitment to Child Protection and abide by all company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and the ability to respond positively to change within the work environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with using standard computer software, such as Microsoft Office
  • Current drivers license
