Right now, we’re looking for a Cook for our Woronora Heights Community Preschool - an ‘Exceeding NQS’ rated service in Sutherland. What makes this place special is the unique community spirit that you’ll feel part of. The experienced team of educators and teachers care for up to 72 children aged 0-5, in our purpose build building, embedded into our daily routine, it’s just one way we’re looking after everyone’s wellbeing.

What your work will involve

In this role you will run the kitchen, including but not limited to, menu planning, preparing healthy meals, ordering stock and cleaning duties. As the Cook you will use your experience to support the health and well-being of the children in the centre through the planning and preparation of all meals provided throughout the day.

What you need to succeed

  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong communication skills
  • A good level of physical fitness
  • Be organised
  • A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Qualifications in Menu Planning and Nutrition and Safe Food Supervisor certificate or equivalent are desirable - training will be provided for the right candidate and paid for by Big Fat Smile.
