We are a not for profit, community owned, non government organisation which provides high quality care and education for children, national and state wide inclusion services as part of a National Consortia and operate many community based services to children and families. These include post natal depression groups, transition to school and supported playgroups.

What you’ll do

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to deliver enterprise-wide projects for Big Fat Smile, drawing upon organisational capabilities and building the project management capacity, skill and systems within Big Fat Smile. The role will be responsible for all facets of organisation-wide projects including defining requirements, tender/evaluation and delivery-implementation.

Success in this role is measured by delivering projects on time, within budget and to the agreed scope for the business objective.

What you'll need

  • Degree or higher in project management and relevant area and/or extensive project management experience in a diverse and complex environment.
  • Proven ability to undertake program and project management in a constrained environment with a commitment to delivering on time, within budget to high levels of quality.
  • Demonstrated experience with business analysis, go to market exercises, design coordination and principles of organisational change management.
  • Proven experience in consolidating and optimising business processes.
  • Ability to identify, leverage and co-ordinate organisational capabilities and resources to support project delivery.
  • Sound knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of risk and issue management and mitigations.
  • Desire to seek and promote continuous improvement and willingness to implement change.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict avoidance and conflict resolution skills.
  • Cleared Valid for paid work, Working With Children’s Check (WWCC).
