Expressions of Interest - Fun Club Educator to work during Vacation Care

Big Fat Smile is seeking Expressions of Interest from Out of School Hours Care Educators to join the team in our Fun Clubs during NSW School Holidays.

We are a not for profit, community owned, non government organisation which provides high quality care and education for children, national and state wide inclusion services as part of a National Consortia and operate many community based services to children and families. These include post natal depression groups, transition to school and supported playgroups.

We demonstrate this commitment through embedding of the Child Safe Standards in culture, policies, procedures and practice. Big Fat smile has a zero tolerance for child abuse and harm and all allegations and safety concerns will be treated seriously and acted upon

    What you’ll do

    Our Fun Club Educators play an integral role in the delivery of high quality care, supervision services and and care to all Children. You need great communication skills, understanding of children and the ability to work positively as part of a team!

    Selection Criteria:

    • Must be available during NSW School Holidays
    • Demonstrated experience working with children
    • Effective communication skills
    • Ability to work positively within a team environment
    • A good level of physical fitness
    • Understanding of workplace health and safety and the National Quality Framework
    • Must be available during NSW School Holidays
    • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain at own cost)
    • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain at own cost)
    • Identify and Respond to Children at Risk certificate (desirable)
    • Certificate IV (OSHC) or Certificate III (Early Childhood Education & Care)(desirable)
